The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed regarding the superior variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is due to lack SRD of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The support place produced for intervention experiences a significant influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to empower the servicing of all buyers and boost access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
